The group meets to practise and improve your French in an informal friendly supportive atmosphere.

Group Coordinator: Gaby Partridge

The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 10am.

We meet in my flat near Highbury Barn.

The first hour of the session is concerned with reading and discussing a prepared article from a newspaper or magazine. The second hour is given to each member making a short presentation on a topic of their interest prepared previously such as a film seen, a play, a hobby etc. Vocabulary, verbs and their tenses, accent are corrected when necessary. Everyone in turn is then invited to ask questions — in French of course — on the topic presented. Members of the group are encouraged to speak and not to be too preoccupied about making mistakes — although you do need reasonable knowledge of French and confidence to speak as this is an intermediate level conversation group.

However, I like to think that the atmosphere is friendly and informal.

If you would like to join the group click on the link above (ie my name). I will then respond to let you know if there is space in the group or not.
