FRENCH INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED CONVERSATION

Members of the group meet to practise and improve their French in an informal and friendly atmosphere. Group Coordinators: Alison Finlay (click to contact) and Elsa Cole

When The group meets on Thursdays, approximately once a month (members to be advised of the date in advance), 10.30 am -12.30 pm.

Where At members’ homes, near Newington Green or Victoria Park

Practise and improve your French, with the help of Elsa Cole, a native French speaker. This group is not suitable for beginners but the approach is supportive, helpful and patient. Each session focuses on a topic suggested by members of the group and advertised in advance, but there is time too for more general chat. Conversation is not interrupted with corrections, but Elsa will close each session with suggestions and tips on French usage.

We hope also to organise occasional outings, where numbers may be less restricted. Since each session has to be restricted to a maximum of eight, we operate a booking system on a first-come, first-served basis: members are advised by email of each meeting in advance and asked to sign up if they wish to attend.
