Background
The idea of this group would be to provide a forum for
like-minded people to discuss the music they are enjoying
now or have enjoyed in the past. It could include a
variety of different types of music such as rock and roll,
folk, jazz, punk, progressive, indie or world music, as
well as more mainstream popular music.
Focus
The focus would be mainly on films or books that are based on musicians or types of music. Prior to a meeting I will suggest a film to watch or book to read. Then we'll meet to discuss. For some future meetings people might like to attend the cinema together. There might also be the occasional musical event at venues such as Union Chapel, Barbican or Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank. We will share information about future events that group members might like to attend.
